Partir à Barcelone pour une semaine sans réserver ni hôtel, ni auberge de jeunesse pouvait s'avérer compliqué. Surtout chargé comme des mules, en arrivant à minuit dans la ville, juste après une victoire footballistique du Barça sur Madrid, son rival de toujours.

Leaving for Barcelona for a full week without booking any hotel room nor couch to crash on was risky. Even more so that we were carrying all of our bags, arriving around midnight in the city, right after the win of the Barca football club against their long time rival, Madrid.

Certains aiment emprunter des chemins inégaux et cahoteux. Skating violent, style rude et cru... Et de méchantes replaques. Cela pourrait assez bien résumer la vision de Rémy Meister. Son skating instinctif, plein de créativité, et son style brut dénotent sur la scène Européenne aujourd'hui. Et c'est aussi pour cela qu'il mérite amplement sa place dans le team SSM.

Some people just like it rough. Rough skating, raw style... And harsh landings. That could sum up Rémy Meister's attitude quite well. His raw and instinctive skating, and his unrefined style sure make him stand out on the actual scene of top European skaters. That's also why he truly deserves his spot in the SSM team.

Même les meilleures choses ont une fin. Après une folle année passée dans les murs célèbres du 116 à Bruxelles, toute l'équipe avait été informée par le propriétaire que tout prendrait fin le 30 Juin. Tant qu'à partir, autant le faire avec classe, bruit et fureur, et ainsi mettre sur pied le cinquième et final Home Contest.

Even the best things come to an end some day. After spending roughly a year in the infamous 116 mansion in Brussels, the whole crew had been informed they'd be expelled on the 30th of June. They came to the realization that if they had to move on, at least they'd move on with style, and thus they put together the fifth and final Home Contest.

17 Avril 2010, la crémaillère de Lola "La Sister", les 21 ans de mon fils Castorfly Motherfucker, d'autres anniversaires à quelques jours près et dans le désordre, Antoine Erimian, Kangou, Nicolas Rue et certainement d'autres. On se questionne, on utopise, il va falloir faire les choses en grand, on reve d' un podium, un rail carré, un demi-bowl avec son coping, enfin c'est reparti quoi, HOME CONTEST NUMERO QUATRE, " fais té-sau ta son-mai reu-fré !"

2010, the 17th of April. Sister Lola's welcoming party, my son Castorfly's 21st birthday, and some other events and birthdays all mixed in there as well : Antoine Erimian, Kangou, and a few others. Some questions in our minds, some more utopias, we had to do it big this time : a podium, a square rail, half of bowl with its piece of coping, well it's here again, THE HOME CONTEST NUMBER FOUR : « blow your house up my brother !»

A 18h31 aujourd'hui, nous entrerons officiellement dans la saison du printemps longuement attendue. Dans quelques heures, nous en aurons fini avec ce rude hiver, et avec un peu de chance l'été arrivera bientôt, et avec lui les longues journées au soleil. C'est donc l'occasion rêvée de célébrer l'événement !

Today, around 6:31PM, we will officialy enter the long-awaited spring season. In a few hours, we will finally be done with this harsch winter and hopefully it won't be too long before we actually reach summer and enjoy long and warm sunny days. There probably couldn't be a better time to celebrate !
